hustleGRL Talks Uniqueness in Branding, Handling Criticism, and More

Late last year, I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Sandra Stanisa of Bad Perm, an all-female online hip hop publication that aims to cater to a broad spectrum of hip hop heads. They love to feature empowering women in hip hop through their work so I’m super happy that they reached out to me. I was able to discuss several matters in the music industry such as the uniqueness in branding, being able to handle criticism, the importance of in-person networking, and more. Head over to Bad Perm to read the interview.

When people see you out working and networking, it shows that you’re serious about what you want to do and you actually care but if you’re hiding behind a computer screen, you’re not really stamping your presence.

i’ve been reading your posts for a little while. you’ve introduced art and culture that i connect with and that inspires me (i found King avriel’s music through hustleGRL).
gaining some insight on your perspective through this interview was refreshing… now you have me reflecting.
