Hip Hop and NXNE meet again. This year’s line up was filled with a mix of artists from across the nation. On Wednesday, we joined The Remix Project at Rivoli for their pop-up producer showcase. Hosted by Gavin Sheppard, the night was topped with a cipher curated by TheLegendsLeague featuring Rich Kidd, Junia T, Adam Bomb, and more.

NXNE launched a brand new outdoor, live music venue this year with the creation of the Port Lands festival site located at 51 Commissioners St. We continued our festivities with Friday’s ecstatic line up inside their new location. All captured by our lovely photographer Setti Kidane, the commish stage and canal stage were both filled with a wave of artists such as Schoolboy Q, Ghostface Killah (who brought out Sheek Louch from The Lox), Daniel Caesar, Mick Jenkins and more.

It’s exciting to watch a music festival like NXNE grow in our backyard which is why we’ll continue to support them in the years to come. The high energy crowd, the surprise guests, the security guards dancing/rapping during Schoolboy Q’s set, the connection with your favourite artist and the memories created, it’s all worth it.
