Adidas has recently released the Adidas Neighborhood AR Game, whereby users log on and use augmented reality to play an online game. There are several types of games in there such as the DJ Game which is where you can piece together a beat that my boy C4 made for the campaign. There are a lot of videos out there of people using the system and it’s pretty fun to watch. The only downfall (not really) is in order to play the game, you must have a Isight camera, or a built in Mac camera. They then you either use an existing Adidas shoe or print out a shoe pattern.

On Thursday, April 29, 2010 join award winning DJ P-Plus, Devo Brown and Jeni from the New FLOW 93.5 and T-Rexxx from 1 Love T.O. as they host Hoopin’ 4 Haiti, a gaming tournament and fundraising initiative in support of Haiti relief. The tournament takes place in the trendy King West area of Toronto in the open concept venue, Studio 99.
The tournament will feature the hottest video game in the sporting genre, NBA2K10. A $50 entry fee guarantees two games for each player over the age of 18.

A young lady by the name of Caesey Shakes sent me this video today. iBlog is her video documentary for her Communications class (2160B) where she explains how McLuhan’s recognized quote “the medium is the message,” depicts perfectly the ways blogging has initiated a revolution in old media. Linking his theory to famous celebrity critic, Perez Hilton, and one of her personal favorite rappers, Drake, McLuhan statement was basically prediction of what old media would become today. I remember Caesey asking me permission via email if she could use my Drake fansite, All Things Fresh, as an example for her documentary. Here’s the final result.
