My friend and mentor Bryan Espiritu currently has a feature up on 1867.com. If you don’t know about Bryan Espiritu, you better get familiar ay ess ay pee (asap). Here’s an excerpt from the article:
Fortunately enough this is not the case for Espiritu. With TheLegendsLeague as the backbone for IdeallClothing Espiritu has been able to survive the rinse cycle, as early in the fashion game as he is. This is a rare occasion where the colour may fade, but the quality remains because it’s more about the message on the shirts than the threads holding the fabric together. As Espiritu explains, “It is really more than clothing. For those who care about that it’s always gunna be around and it’s always gunna mean something,” and because of that selling product has always been easy for him.
By making sure the pieces he creates relate back conceptually to something in his life he has been able to reach other people. Even when he first alerted Myspacers’ to meet him at a spot in downtown Toronto called China Doll to purchase a shirt of “The James’s,” which celebrated the lives of James Brown, J Dilla, and Rick James, his product flew fast.
I think I’m late on this one but oh well, lol. I’ve always loved this song ever since Day26 killed it… too bad it was only a reference song for Cassie. The video is hot and Cassie looks beautiful. I’m still not feeling that baby hamster skin hair cut though mama. Other than that, I will still jam this song 24/7. Take that, take that.
Hey guys, I just wanted to make an update post on what I’ve been doing. Currently I am still in school (of course!!!) and I decided to take co-op this semester. Co-op is a job placement you do outside of school in order to gain 2 or 4 highschool credits. I took the half day one so in the morning I go to school for two classes which are English x Marketing and then I head downtown to a management company called Chris Smith Management where I do my co-op/internship.
Other than that, I’ve been doing lots of freelance stuff and I am currently working on two projects. One would be Peace Magazine’s website and the other one is BeSo MAG’s magazine layout. So I am the creative/art director for BeSo Mag and I will keep you guys updated on that. I am excited to release the Spring Issue!! My girl Chantle Beeso is a hard worker and she is young just like me. I guess that is pretty much it for me now. School x Co-op x Work x Gym x Sleep!
Oh how much I miss you. It just isn’t the same without 40 & Bryan E! We need a Remix Round 3 reunion. This is our 2008 graduation pic; we look fly-y-y-y. I’m in the middle beside Bryan & in front of T-ReXxX in the purple. Owww.
By now most of you should know who Gavin (The Founder of The Remix Project) is, and if not please take a moment to see why he’s been selected by Marc Ecko Watches to represent the “BE UNLIMITED” Global Campaign… 1 ♥ T.O.
If you know me, you know that B.o.B. is a new artist to make my favourite playlist! Lola put me on to him and I absolutely love his music! When I go to ATL in March, I hope to go to one of his shows or something. He just released his video for “I’ll Be In The Sky” which is his current single. Check it out homies!
My mentor be. from TheLegendsLeague.com has his Obama tee out and it is one my favourites! The design is entitled “Obama Time“. It is also an illustration of Obama’s Time Magazine cover feature. Click here to purchase the shirt. Here are some pics of me rocking it on November 4th 2008.
While you’re at it, check out be.‘s and lissa‘s “The Difference” mixtape. It is a mixtape dedicated to the life of Shakir Stewart and the promise of change provided by Barack Obama. Click on the cover to download the mixtape.
