Rapper Eve Talks Hiatus & New Music

Yes, I for one have missed E-V-E. The female MC stopped by the breakfast club this morning to talk music, where she has been, (living in London for the past two years– who knew!) and ultimately what’s coming next. This time around, Eve will be releasing her new album, “Lip Lock,” from her new independent label, From The Ribs Music. The album is supposed to drop on May 14, 2013. Be sure to support her; after all, it’s been way too long. 11 years to be exact.

Elliott Wilson on A$AP Rocky’s Leak

It’s no secret that countless artist are hurt by the leaking of their albums before the release date, hurting their record sales and driving people to illegally download albums instead of buying them. Last week, A$AP Rocky, who’s album, “Long.Live.A$AP” was supposed to drop on January 15, 2013 leaked on the internet, basically a whole month before it was supposed to come out. Elliott Wilson, the God father of hip-hop journalism gave his spin on the issue and whether or not he thinks it’ll hurt A$AP’s sales and career in the long wrong.

Watch: Kendrick Lamar on Lil Wayne’s Influence

After bringing out Lil Wayne for his 2012 Chirstmas in California Concert, Kendrick Lamar sat down and talked with Karen Civil about the influence that Lil Wayne had over his rapping during Wayne’s earlier years. He also talks about the humbling experience of Wayne recognizing what he is doing as an artist.

This has been an excitig week for Kendrick also, his album, Good Kid m.A.A.d city went Gold. Congrats to him! Well deserved. Watch the videos after the jump.

Future Talks “Medusa” Mixtape & Collaborations With Drake

In this interview snippet with LA Leakers, Future stated that he will be dropping his mixtape titled, “Medusa” that he recorded with French Montana. The rapper talked about how he and Future collaborated every time they ran across each other in different states. Although he didn’t give an official release date, he said the mixtape should be coming soon.

Now we all saw the vlog last month where Future and Drake were recording in the studio, but now it’s official. Future says that him and Drake have about five songs together that he will also be releasing soon, no word on whether they will be on the mixtape or not.

The real Cassie and Rihanna in this bitch!

Hung out with Lissa & Nebby today. We cracked bare jokes and had a blast doing nothing but laughing. Nebby wrote her first rap song called “Stickers on my TV” ft. DJ Lissa Monet & hustleGRL…LOL, right. Anyways, main point is that it was just one of them days where you just sit back, relax, & just kick it with your girls.

Here’s a couple of bars I came up with….

And after seeing those Rihanna pictures prior to the Cassie incident, Lissa provided a free photoshoot for Nebs & I.

So as you may or may not know, Famous started my rap career on January 1st, ’08 haha.
